California Plum and Silvereye

The 'other' plum we had, of a different and earlier flowering/fruiting variety, was in the backyard proper, overhanging the shed entrance. I saw it every morning from my 'morning room'. Here it is on the last morning I spent there, in blossom and early bud.

Amongst the several regular visitors to our yard was a tribe of Silvereyes. I didn't even know of the type until my last year or so there, when a group started visiting in summer. I hadn't seen them since, until the last week of our tenancy (the second last week of winter) when some of them returned to say goodbye one morning. They are very small and 'nervous', so he might be a bit hard to spot...
